Thanks to all who gently (on-list and off) corrected my misimpressions about
Arial; apparently, said font has indeed been updated to be unicode
compliant, and thus, it does support the Cyrillic character set. Oops!

I was also informed that even PageMaker 7 doesn't yet support unicode fonts.
I couldn't find any information on this via a quick visit to the Adobe site,
but a more diligent search may turn up appropriate details.
