Happy Friday, everyone!

I am looking for a sample (or maybe a few samples) document that compares
one software product to another. I thought this would be called "competitive
analysis" or "competitor comparison," but when I searched online (using
these terms and variations of them), I found mostly business plan documents.
I also checked the Techwr-L archives with no success.

Basically, I'm trying to help revamp the way my company identifies and
documents our leading competitors. Once we complete research on a specific
product, we'd create a report for our employees (sales staff, etc.). It
would be nice if these reports followed a somewhat uniform format. Instead
of simply developing a list of features with columns for US and THEM (with
YES and NO in the appropriate places), I'd like to hit broader areas, like
"Pricing, Supported platforms, Key features, Support plans," etc. Obviously,
the slant of this document (to be most useful) would be "here is what xxx
does better than us; let's fix it."

I have a fairly good idea of what the end result document will be (and I'll
probably create this from scratch), but it would be great to see someone
else's creation.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide,

Tom Hinds
