First, I sincerely hope that we all already knew what
a UI is. If not, study up Poindexter!
I said "file a bug" only because that is what I am
required to do. If I wasn't required to file a bug, I
might fix it if I could, or report it informally.
Management has better things to do than worry about UI
flaws - they would just hand the task back to the
developer anyway. I might make them aware that I told
the developer about one, but I wouldn't charge the
manager with the task of repeating my words to someone
else unless, of course, I had to. Do nothing or
document them as is... do we do this? Really? What's
the point? I understand that sometimes there's a need
to document a bug in the 11th hour to make users
aware, but in general? No way! Get the damn thing fixed!
