If your intent is to get a Visio diagram into a Word document, and you don't
need the dynamic updating, AND the Word document is going to end up as a
printed document, the best method is:
- In Visio, select Edit | Select All. Select Copy.
- In Word, select Edit | Paste Special | Picture
The do any image formatting you need in Word. We've discovered that this
method results in the sharpest printed output of any other damn method (and
there are about 547 of 'em) for printing a Visio diagram in Word. This
method also has the advantage of a smaller .doc size than other embedded
objects/images.
