Looks like I'm in the minority on this one. I have sometimes acknowledgedI think the key here is "tactfully." There's a difference between saying, "I think that my boss could understudy Adolf Hitler" and saying, "My boss and I have different styles, so I thought it best to move on." The first can rebound on you, and make you look like a chronic complainer, especially if you go on to elaborate. The second acknowledges the fact, but is more graceful and mature, suggesting that you had some responsibility for the problem relationship."
during interviews the issues that prompted me to leave a previous job, or
used some anecdotes (carefully, tactfully, with gentle humor) to explain
the qualities I'm seeking in a position. This doesn't have to be a negative
thing; often those problems teach you something about your own work or
learning style.
