I design forms in FrameMaker for a medical research company. We create these
forms as tables, and, occasionally, certain cells of these tables are filled
with shading lines or hatch marks (signifying to the individual filling out
the forms that a particular cell requires no entry of information). Our
problem is two-fold:
1. When we use Frame's "set fill pattern" on the graphics tool bar, the lines
are too close together. Is there a way to change the default line spacing
between the diagonal lines in the fill pattern?
2. When we print these shading lines from "set fill pattern" on the graphics
tool bar, they do not print as they appear on screen. Instead, the cell that
should have had shading lines prints as gray fill. Any suggestions?
Because of these problems, we currently draw the lines manually and group
them, which doesn't allow for easy cell-size manipulation and is extremely
tedious to adjust and/or create. I have already looked in the Frame manual (it
only address line widths, not line spacing) and in the archives at techwr-l,
but both times found nothing. Help Please!
