Subject:Humor: How to end a sentence From:"Dana Worley" <dana -at- campbellsci -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Fri, 22 Mar 2002 11:06:05 -0700
I went to a folk music concert last night (Cheryl Wheeler), and she
said,
"I was going to say that this is a song about the town I grew up in.
But then I would be ending the sentence with a preposition. So this
is a song about the town in which I grew up. Uh... ok... this is a song
about the town up in which I grew."
Made me think about this list... :)
