Hey Mark, don't leave yet. I've not used software designed specifically
for this purpose, but I have done something similar to what you've
described.

In developing a JavaHelp system, I was asked to include database field
descriptions. The only place these descriptions could be found were in
the code.

I had the developers export the appropriate sections of the code to
.txt. I converted that to Word, wrote a macro to cut instances of "desc"
and.... you get the picture.
