Nearly all RFCs have only month and year for publication
date. The exceptions have April 1 and a year. There are
two new ones today:

ftp://ftp.isi.edu/in-notes/rfc3251.txt
ftp://ftp.isi.edu/in-notes/rfc3252.txt

Methinks nearly anyone writing docs for any networking
software or hardware should include a few links to an
April 1 1996 RFC, "The Twelve Networking Truths":

ftp://ftp.isi.edu/in-notes/rfc1925.txt
