Andrew,
I used to belong to a group called Network of Women in Computer Technology (NWCT) (it wasn't just for women though.) Their annual conferences had three tracks--technical, business, and career development, running simultaneously. I could choose from any one of the three tracks for any session. And, despite their being totally member-funded, they did pay their speakers! ; ))
