A number of people have responded privately, suggesting that I uninstall and
reinstall DW. (Thanks for responding so quickly!)

I forgot to mention in my first message that I've already tried that...
twice. (Hmmm -- one definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and
over, expecting a different result...)

I've been running DW for a couple of years. Upgraded to DW4 after I went
from Win98 to Win2000, but that was many months ago. I've run DW4 without a
problem for a long time -- that's why this is so baffling.
