Microsoft actually does this really well. Most relevant for you may be the
MSDN library (msdn.microsoft.com/library)--its audience, like yours, is
highly technical and is typically looking for a complete treatment of a
single topic. Docs on this site range from the very short to the very
long...if you don't see one you like right away, spend 15 minutes browsing.
Also good is the Support site's Knowledge Base
(support.microsoft.com)--though less technical, the tech notes are shorter,
which makes their structure easier to see. An easy way to check them out is
to search the KB for a random topic, and look at the tech notes returned by
the search.
