TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I used to work with a group of writers who repurposed work from other writers instead of ever actually writing anything.
As a matter of fact, a friend of mine was horrified to find out that another writer had gone on an interview and "repurposed" my friend's original work and passed it off as a writing sample.
Repurposing taken to the limit.

I am doing a bit of reading in the Adobe Acrobat Help files, and they keep using the term
"repurpose" as in "With Acrobat, you can easily repurpose the contents of your documents using
structured or tagged Adobe PDF files."
Can someone please tell me what they mean by "repurpose"? I have no idea, and I cannot find a
definition of this term in their text.
