To me it sounds like "we know there is a lot of stuff
piled into the box that we sent you. What you need is
there, you'll just have to find it item by item. Right
now, what you need to find is a packet of six screws."
(At least I hope they're in a packet rather than knocking
around loose in the box.)
I don't mind it so much. It seems to me as if the
instructions are acknowledging that finding the stuff
takes a little effort, instead of saying "Grease the
two O-rings. What do you mean, you need to look for
them first? When I say grease two O-rings, I expect
you to have two O-rings! What have you been doing all
this time, counting ceiling tiles?"
