I just realized today that posts to bit.listserv.techwr-l do not get
forwarded to the mailing list. I'm therefore re-sending all my posts
from the past week directly to the mailing list. My apologies to those
of you who read the newsgroup; however, it's clear that other people are
also ignorant of this problem (based on the fact that the post I'm
