Have a look at "Tog on Interface"
http://www.asktog.com/books/toi_detail.html by Bruce Tognazzini.

The blurb says: "From one of the foremost authorities on the design of user
interfaces, this unique collection of ideas and opinions, while focusing on
the Macintosh, neatly captures the underlying principles of all graphical
user interfaces. Using ideas from such diverse sources as Information
Theory, Carl Jung, and even professional beekeeping, the book provides a
framework for achieving a deep understanding of user interface design."

Hello all,

Can anyone recommend a good book on GUI design? Right now, our developers
design all the interfaces, and usability is definately not a priority. Our
writing department is hoping to get a foot in the door and fix this. So,
does anyone have a favorite book we could try?

Thanks in advance,
Susan Patrick
