Is anyone using Ghostscript/Ghostview to develop PDFs? Is the quality
comparable to Adobe Acrobat Distiller?

Under Linux, it chokes on fonts not available on the system, and every now and then it decides to try to make a long document one large graphic, but, on the whole, the quality is comparable.
