Need tips on reducing Word file size

Hi,
We are using StarTeam, which has a 2MB restriction on file sizes. I'm up
to 4.4MB so I need to put this document on a diet! 

I managed to cut out out 2.5 MB with the CTRL+SHFT+F9 trick to convert
embedded objects to graphics (2 Visios)

There are 65 tables, with color used in two of the running header rows.

I've got 4 color BMPs at 606KB each, so I could put these into an
appendix document, or link them. But we are sharing this across the
enterprise.

Fast Save is turned off, and I am not creating versions. TT fonts all
the way.  Ideas?
