These two statements are contradictory. The second statement is accurate --
your worth is determined by the market. (Actually, if we are to be
completely precise, the worth of your skills is determined by the market.
We have been, and will continue, using "your worth" and "my worth" as
shorthand for that, rather than implying some sort of personal worth.)

You unequivocally determine your cost. And you insist upon it by walking
away from anyone who does not pay it. All true. But even when someone
decides to pay your cost, they may quite possibly have decided your "worth"
is much higher than your cost and believe they are getting a bargain, so,
even limiting the discussion to just those who are purchasing your
services, you are still not setting your worth, only your cost.
