When I see ads like this, I hope/assume that they've been written to
describe a specific person they're trying to replace, who in the course of
his or her life had amassed that skillset and found ways to use it in this
job.
I've known and worked with unique people like that, and they are VERY hard
to replace. So you can't blame the company for trying, even if it does
make for an odd laundry list of requirements.
It's an interesting exercise to think of the qualifications required to
replace YOURSELF as completely as possible. In my case, the need for a
high tolerance for alcohol and the requisite sigline writing skills would
narrow the field considerably....
