Second, for your own amusement, on the topic of micromanagement, I commend to your attention the Dilbert of 25 August 2002. I printed out a copy and left it on our marketing VP's desk. You may or may not have a relationship with your boss that would permit you to do the same (doesn't sound like it); but you'll get a chuckle out of it anyway.
