Suraj,

You say you tried "converting" the .doc to a .ps. By this do you mean that you simply renamed the files?

To "convert" a document you need to print it to a file, using a PostScript printer. This may result in a file with a .prn extension rather than a .ps extension, but Distiller recognizes both, so you don't need to change the extension.

You can download a PostScript printer driver from Adobe. You do not need to have a PostScript printer physically available on your system.

Dick

Hi All,

This is regarding the Watched Folders option in
Acrobat Distiller 4.0, that automates the creation of
PDF files. However, I am not able to convert a Word
Doc to PDF when I put the doc in the "In" Folder
created by Distiller. It's giving me the "Post Script
Warning..Error Message", and says its unable to create
the final PDF.
I tried the method of converting the .doc to a .ps
file, and putting it in the "In" folder, but still
encountered the same error above.
Can someone help?
