I don't think it *is* written down anywhere, except
maybe in the troubleshooting guide for a C++ text.
<g> It's just a logical leap I made. Using Word for
many long years has kind of taught me the zen of MS
programming. And documenting C++ for years and years
on end, you develop a mantra... "Release the pointer,
release the pointer, release..." It sounded like that
kind of problem.
