to be able to customize is the online Help.This, however, can be a pretty unwieldy process for the
average non-tech-writer to have to navigate alone--so much so that most
customizers and developers haven't bothered to customize the help,
leaving the end-use authors with little or no help using the product as
customized.
Sounds like some great contract work might be available. If I had a list of your customers, I'd be out there pitching my skills to write their custom Help systems.
Or, if you have the resources, you could turn your Doc Department into a profit center by charging to write custom documentation for your customers.
