About two months ago, the FBI had a very similar position advertised on their web site. I seriously considered it (How cool to have that badge and tell people "I'm with the FBI.---never mind your just a desk jockey writing words for other higher ranking desk jockies), but the position required relocation to the DC area. The pay was nice (about 80-90k if I remember correctly).
I don't know if it's been filled yet. But if you're interested, you might want to peruse their site.
