I am hoping to... hmmm... experience? my first performance review at the
company where I have been working as the only tech writer for over a year. I
want to make requests for hardware upgrades at my review. (I work on both a
Mac and a PC that need upgrading, so I have to strike a balance.)
The company bought RoboHelp 2002 a few months ago, and I attended a very
good RoboHelp course, but I have been unable to find a hardware/memory
recommendation. I am running Windows 2000, have 255 MB of memory, a 4 GB
hard disk (2.5 GB available). It meets the requirements documented at ehelp,
but seems inadequate to me. Certain processes, such as revising styles, are
very slow. I need more speed!
What I would like to have: ideas about improving RoboHelp's performance;
experiences and advice on asking for better a working environment and
betters tools in a review; and comments about a hardware configuration that
works especially well with RoboHelp.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Mary K Swanson
