I have one (had I guess is more appropriate since I got it in 1996). The
knowledge you'll gain from getting the cert is useful, the cert itself is of
questionable valuable. Its not as easy to get as it used to be. There is a bit of
an investment. But you'll learn some very useful things in the process. For
example, dumb stuff like how Kerberos works is arcane stuff - unless your
documenting a program that authenticates off a Windows active directory server.
Then its very useful.

Some writers will tell you an MCSE worthless. They are usually empire builders
and self-conscious drips who fear anybody who knows more than them. Ignore these
people. They'll be serving you french-fries in about 5 years as they clutch their
STC pins and demand to have a font-selection committee analyze the type face on
the hamburger wrappers.

Mmmmmm, french fries. Slobber.
