The question may possibly be looking at your decision making processes.

First you make a choice, albeit a guess with a 1 in 3 probability. Then you are given some information that confirms that your choice may, indeed, be correct. Although the probability has now changed to 1 in 2, you have not been given any information to say that your first decision was wrong, and, philiospically, an increased potential of it being correct.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

And that's logic!
