Personally, I don't like that style at all. But if you're a new employee
at the company, I'd put up your radar and get a feel for things before
attacking this style. You might do more harm than good by making your
first action in this new position an attack on how they've been doing
things. I've made that mistake, and won't do it again.
Think about the circumstances surrounding their hiring decision. If one of
the main things they hired you to do was to CHANGE and IMPROVE how they do
things, go for it. But if they just wanted a writer, and they chose you,
I'd tiptoe into that particular battle.
Get established first, THEN start fixing things. I agree, this needs
fixing. But it may not be the best first step. Good luck!
