Would I be responsible for the entire approximate 15 percent? If so, does a
person get half back when completing a Schedule C at tax time?
I put aside roughly 35%, but I believe that the actual percentage depends on how much you've earned. As for getting half back, I'm not an accountant, but I don't think so. There may be some adjustments.
You really should consult a tax person on such things - the rules change slightly from year to year.
