Basic Voice ??s: OK for Software to "allow", "let", "enable", "provide" and so forth?

Hello,

I need a little help. I've fondled fonts, soothed styles, and pillaged
my project plan for far too long. I'm into the meat and potato work:
actual writing and find myself admonishing myself. I am the lone writer
at this company and I need you to admonish me further.

It seems that every descriptive sentence I write goes something like
this:

The software "enables" you to
The software has functionality that "lets" you 
Screen XXX "provides"

Every time I write one of those sentences, I feel like going out in the
parking lot and banging my head against a lightpost. However, I feel I
have no choice but to write those sentences. They are irresistible. 

The battle of Chicago MOS vs. the APA is still raging, so any help would
be appreciated. What other verbage choices do I have?
