I agree. Hunter Thompson has said that the only way to
come to grips with any subject is to write about it;
only then do you know what you really know. And this
is *not* just demonstrating a 'keen grasp of the
obvious'. Rather, making the implicit explicit is a
valuable and little-lauded function of the writer.
