About three weeks ago, I sat in on a code review with the 4 developers and
one of the developers had multiple instances of "See the change shown in
blue."

He'd printed his version in color....then made B&W photocopies for everyone
else. He couldn't figure out why everyone was shuffling through the document
with confused looks on their faces.

The revision feature of Word works. It may be a fuss at first, but once you
get used to it, between the changebars and the ability to accept or reject
changes at the press of a button, it will save you bunches of time....and
show others a higher level of professionalism.

Hi, I'm writing a big manual in Word XP that just went for review.
While
the document is being reviewed I have to continue to write on the next
version in the same document. I'd like to make all new text I write be
different from the text that is reviewed, so I know what I add new. Is
it possible for example, to make all new text use another default text
color like blue instead of black), please? I know I can use Track Changes
in
Word but I really don't like it (too much fuss!). I just want to have a
different font color (without changing styles or having to mark new text
