Can you be more specific? What value do you perceive? Beyond making the writers and their managers feel good, I honestly don't see any.In fact, I wonder whether an award will attract any business at all.
There's value in being able to refer to "our award-winning product" or "our award-winning tutorial" depending on the context.
I seriously doubt that most people will buy anything beyond a $100 software package simply because it's won awards that they've never heard of. And, personally, I'd think twice about spending $100 on that basis.
