Back in the days when I was a hiring manager, I saw a bunch of the kinds of resumes Sharon is talking about -- and they are frustrating to say the least. For every job, they give the same description. "XYZ Corporation: Wrote user manuals, reference manuals, and quick reference cards using FrameMaker."

Okay... <blink, blink, shiver> Where these books for financial apps? ...programmer tools? ...video games???? It does make a difference.

On my resume, I call out tools and technologies separately after each job description, just so there's no mistaking what I've done and what I know. ...and I've gotten some very positive responses.
