I've worked in companies where tech writers and engineers got time and a half OT, straight time OT and no OT, and in
one company where *everybody,* including the clerical and janitorial folk, were salaried (and actually seemed to like
it that way), all in CA. What seems to matter most is that every employee doing the same work in the company must
have the same status.
