By the same token, if you *want* a special font in your index entry, just apply it to the text in the XE field.

For example, if you want this in your index:

commands
cd
del
dir
mkdir

where "commands" is in the default paragraph text, but the individual command names are in 10-point Courier New, you need to create these index entries:

{ XE "commands: mkdir" }, { XE "commands: del" },
{ XE "commands: cd" }, and { XE "commands: dir" }

and format the command names in 10-point Courier New right there between the quotation marks in the XE fields.

It looks wierd--especially if the index entries appear in a 16-point Arial heading--but it gets you the desired effect.
