I don't disagree. I was trying to convey that a liberal education, while it is not _necessary,_ is very helpful. However, I did not mean to imply that it is, by itself, _sufficient._ I agree with you that a desire to know how stuff works and a love of explaining to other people how stuff works, among other things, are necessary, too.
