Hi all -

I surveyed a random 24 hour sample of Techwr-l to see how limiting the
number of posts/user would impact list traffic. A summary of list traffic
savings (based on 1/2/3/4/5 posts/day) and the sampling data are found
below. It would be interesting to see if a 7 day period would yield the same
results.

Here is what I found:

Summary: 128 messages total

1 post/day limit - reduced total message count by 80 (63% reduction)
2 post/day limit - reduced total message count by 47 (37% reduction)
3 post/day limit - reduced total message count by 32 (25% reduction)
4 post/day limit - reduced total message count by 23 (18% reduction)
5 post/day limit - reduced total message count by 17 (13% reduction)
