I posted this to the FrameUsers list a couple days ago, no help. So I'm
now cross posting to Free Framers and Techwhirlers.

Okay, I'm really perplexed. I've tried everything I know, it didn't
work, so now I come to you. (I also checked the documentation and the
archives.) The Table of Contents is the problem. Numbering works just
fine in individual chapters, follows numbering set in Book file as it
should. Now, for this book when I generate the TOC, the Chapter numbers
are followed by a soft return (shift-Enter). The chapter numbers do not
increment, all show as 0. The Reference page TOC paragraph formats are:
<$paratext> <$pagenum>
openObjectId <$relfilename>:<$ObjectType> <$ObjectId>
<$paratext>................................... <$pagenum>
<$paratext> .................................. <$pagenum>
<$chapnum><$paratext>
<$paratext> .................. <$chapnum>-<$pagenum>
<$paratext> .................. <$chapnum>-<$pagenum>
<$paratext> .......................... <$chapnum>-<$pagenum>
<$paratext> .......................... <$chapnum>-<$pagenum>
<$paratext> .................................. <$chapnum>-<$pagenum>
<$paratext> .................................. <$chapnum>-<$pagenum>

I've used these formats in previous books with no problems at all. A
week ago I upgraded from FM6 to 7, but that shouldn't be a problem. Any
ideas?

Thanks in advance,
