The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Our company uses FrameMaker (soon to be 7.0--OK, we're late) to generate PDF, CHM, and WebWorks Help for various clients. We use conditional text, with a high percentage of reuse. We are investigating XML and its capabilities, as well as looking into converting to a structured doc system. We have one structured doc set that uses information mapping, for which we send SGML to the customer. They combine it with manuals of their own, and crank out both PDF and HTML.

Subject: Single-sourcing, who's doing it?
So, out of curiosity, how many folks on the list are doing single-source
documentation using XML or any other technology?
RoboHelp for FrameMaker is a NEW online publishing tool for FrameMaker that
lets you easily single-source content to online Help, intranet, and Web.
The interface is designed for FrameMaker users, so there is little or no
learning curve and no macro language required! Call 800-718-4407 for
