A few people have mentioned that Wade should try to pick up a little Russian. That's a great idea not because it will help Wade communicate with his Russian developers, but because it might help him decipher the writing itself. IMHO, second-language speakers, in general, who have the same first language make the same systematic mistakes in their second language (because of carryover from their first language). So, a native Russian speaker using English will make the same kinds of mistakes as other native Russian speakers. These mistakes are usually caused by carryover from the native language. So, understanding the native language may also help deciphering the pidgin, and that will make editing it easier.

Here's a thought. You might want to google "ESL for Russians" (or soemthing similar) or "teaching English to Russians." There has to be a teaching resource out there that highlights common problems Russian speakers have when they're learning English. If anything, it might give you ideas to help the developers develop better English skills.
