Rob's problem is solved for now, and we have learned not to use lots of dotted lines
in Word tables. But the original problems still remains.

When a page is being created in the printer it is converted by the build-in CPU in the
printer from the format received from the computer (e.g., PCL or PS) to the final
single dots on the paper.

This conversion needs printer RAM, which is often too small for printer price reasons.
With the 86 MB file it can only take in the file in small portions in order to build the
final page image, and that increases the time the printout takes because of
interpolations in the border areas.

I have previously experienced significantly faster printouts and less printing errors by
applying more RAM to my printers. Consequently more printer RAM could have
solved the problem permanently. But of course you cannot ask a customer to adapt
that solution?
