Since some of us are good writers who use MS Word, I can only conclude that

Yes, indeed, for those who might be uncertain, I was kidding. I have often had to use Word to create some really complex documents, most of which I am quite proud of.
I think someone on this list once described Word as "leaving him in a whimpering heap of misery." I have to agree. Even though I know Word quite well, it causes frustration from the moment I open it until the moment the printer finally prints the same thing I see on my monitor.
