Thing is, cultural differences are always important. This is especially
so when you are preparing documents for public consumption.
Cultural differences can be seen in the different vocabularies of US and
UK English, and probably caused those vocabulary differences to be.
Underlying these vocabulary differences are the different cultural
backdrops of the 2 peoples.
Sure, you can use search/replace or some other function to try to
localize a doc. But if you do that, you should also have the language
reviewed by an expert. Better, have the doc sent out to be localized
into the target dialect by a translation agency that specializes in
'localization'.
