1. How did the box explain that you don't cook them? (You say, "When we
looked at the box, we found out that you don't cook ....")?
2. Many food packages say "Do Not Put in Conventional Oven" or "Do Not
Microwave" or "Do Not Cook on Stovetop". I'd say,, the more something
looks like it belongs in one of these hostile environments, the more the
warning is needed. If the affordances of the packaging indicate the
wrong thing, the warnings should be bigger.
3. Do follow Donna's advice and contact the company.
