All I got was that the poster was asked to paint during
a "lull" in the contract, and as a result looked for
another job. Nothing was said about whether the "lull"
was going to be a temporary thing or the first step down
a long slide into oblivion. All I got from the post was
that the request was seen as unacceptable. Obviously, if
the odds of nonpayment were high, heading out the door
would be a sensible choice, but simply being asked to do
a job other than the one originally hired for is not
necessarily an indication that that is the case.
