Hi Gang,
Wanted to pass on something I found in Sunday's Rocky Mountain News www.rockymountainnews.com. (from the New York Times (www.nytimes.com), where the full article is listed. You need to be a subscriber, which is free, search on "Charity Accountability.") It could be another avenue of work for tech writers.

"State and federal officials charged with overseeing charitable activities around the country are promoting legislation to enhance accountability, encourage greater limits on executive compensation and place greater responsibility on nonprofit boards.

Apparently the legislation being proposed is similar to the Sarbanes legislation. Some charities have already started creating audit committees.

Another avenue to monitor and explore.
