"is there a way of replicating that virtual machine instead
of creating each new one from scratch?"

As Bill says you can just copy the VM files to a separate folder. You can
also rename the files to make things easier but you need to change the name
in a few places, here's what I know at the moment:

1. Rename the .vmdk and .vmx files to the new machine name.
2. Change the name of the folder containing the image that you have
copied to the new virtual machine name.
3. Open the .vmx file using Notepad. Change scsi0:0.filename to the new
machine name, and do the same for scsi0:0.redo and displayName.
4. In VMWare Workstation, select Edit>Preferences. In the Options tab,
change the Virtual Machine name and click OK.
5. Set up a shared folder. Select Edit>Preferences. In Options, select
Shared Folders. Click Add and follow the shared folders wizard.
6. Do not use the image's login screen as this is interpreted by the
host. Log in to the Virtual Machine through the Power menu's Send Ctrl Alt
Del command.
7. In Virtual Machine Settings, set the memory to around 400 minimum.
8. Set NIC 1 to Host only for normal use.

YMMV!!!!!!

and HTH!
