Hi John,

Having been a marketing/PR man, I see where your PM is coming from. As John Cook suggested, I'd leave out the first sentence and then go with a re-jig of the second along the lines of "Complex queries can be built using more than one criteria. To do this you must first create an activity (see page 23)."

Nothing negative in it, but states the same prerequisite.
